CaptainOveur, a new gem from Disruptive Ventures, adds administrator authentication and user-administration capabilities to Clearance, the slick Rails authentication engine from the brainy and generous kids at Thoughtbot

Like Clearance, CaptainOveur installs as a Rails Engine for ease-of-use and includes cucumber-based features for integration testing. Tested with rails 2.3.x and clearance 0.8.8, the Captain should be ready for rails 3 and clearance 1.0 in the coming days.

Opting to turn the suggested semantic form builder of clearance into a requirement, CaptainOveur does require Formtastic.
